Klaus had a shot nearly identical to your first shot here a few days ago. I really liked his and also like yours.

Thanks Gordon, the spot is right off the highway and is one of the the best spots IMO.
There were 4 other cars there when I arrived. And more each time I passed the area when I went off exploring the back roads.

I am up west of Denver near Golden. Spent the last week of Sept around Ouray on the passes. Engineer, Black Bear and whatnot. Actually might have had some FM'ers laugh at me at one point... parked my jeep on a gravel pile for the main overlook of Dallas Divide and was splitting time between shooting a few shots and trying to retighten my muffler (that I ripped off the day before). Got some funny looks.

4th shot for me. Love the mood of the little lake.

Stunning - particularly 2 and 4! Cloud formations in 2 are wonderful, hence I prefer this to the long exp.. - but they're all super.

Gorgeous scenes, Keith. Like 'em all! Very cool both treatments in the 1st.

I plan on doing a lot more long exposures during the daytime
But I feel like the clouds need to be moving towards or away from you
Vs horizontally.
