Terrific stuff, Harsha.
Your first image of the young male looks like he's thinking, "If I hold still, maybe the big guy won't notice me."
As I said on the other forum- your Milky Way is delicious.
Charlie

Thanks Charlie. The elk in the first shot put up a good show for all of us.. He was trying hard to protect his herd of cows.

Gotta love all of these! I really like the intruder chase off. Shows a lot of emotion there! But then you went and posted the Milky way shot.... That is really great!

Thanks Ken.
Lately I have been reading lot about star photography. When my good friend Bruce showed me the oldfaithful for the first time it occored to both of us that this would be a good background for the milky way. We were concerned about the light pollution from the near by hotel but it turned out ok.

Outstanding! Tell me that #8 didn't just make you pucker when you saw it in the view finder! It is moments like that that make all the effort and expense, worth it. The other nice thing about this kind of photography. . .it gets you out there in the first place! The world is full of people that will never see things like an elk bugling or certainly not Old Faithful under the Milky Way. Yet, you were there, and captured it wonderfully.

Nice job.

#3 is my pick, love the browns.

#8 has great DOF

#9 I always new that your head was in the stars! Hopefully Burt and I will get some night star shots including the Radio Array in the foreground in NM.

Feeling good,

Larry

1, 2, and 8 are absolutely fantastic. I love the lightness of the sky really highlights the massive body and rack of the Elk.
