Sometimes a hole appears in the dark clouds of a late afternoon storm- and spotlights the very thing you want it to.
f-8 and be there is an old term that I still like.

Love it Charlie!

Do you remember where you took this photo?

Thanks Mike, CZ and Jason.
This was taken from the south shore of Mono Lake- looking south.
Lots to love in that area- including the clouds and occasional storms.

There should be quite a bit to say to correct this photo...the harsh light, the indistinct of it, but do you know what....it is beautiful...quite beautiful...so no comments required.

Thanks PK.
"...beautiful...quite beautiful..." sounds pretty good to my ears.

They say it's better to be lucky than good, but if you happen to be both lucky AND good you get shots like this one.

Thanks Birdie and Phil.
My scenic photography philosophy is based upon the principal: aim the camera at one of nature's infinite examples of beauty- and try not to screw it up .
