Really nicely done image. Like how the barn points to the blaze of aspen. Independence is a decent drive isn't it?

Mike

Thanks. Very decent drive

I'll chime in like the rest and say it's an excellent shot. Extraordinary mood. But in the spirit of trying to dig a little deeper, I've got a nit to politely throw out for consideration: I think the left side is just a little too dark for me. It makes that side too heavy to my eyes. It needs to be dark to be moody, of course, but I want a little detail; just a tiny little bit in the trees. Maybe a bigger file size would show that, but I can't see it in this image. Take it or leave it.

That is an excellent observation. I did print this and I had to bring those tones up a little for balance

Thanks for your thoughts,

Simply gorgeous.

This is so different from where I live that it is hard to comprehend what it must be like to live in a place both so isolated and has such stark contrast. The yellow glow juxtaposed against the grey... almost spooky. Looks like it will be very cold once winter sets in.

Those are beautiful, wish I could have made it back for the wildflowers... and here's quite the opposite view of Independence Pass. These were done in April. Funny how just a couple of months can drastically change the look.
