This could be interesting...

std(from the mflenses thread) posted a reply from some thread: (google translated)
Yeah, in the marketing department of CMH, which I called today officially confirmed the release of Old Helios 40-2.
The situation is as follows:
end of the year produced a series of fine M42. Determined by the price.
The next year - will be releasing a Nikon mount and canon.

Now give me it in native A mount and we're talking. But M42 will do in a pinch.

What about Silver model...

I got mine for $100, with wooden front cap.. and heavy like "REAL" Soviet Lens...

And results are just like HELIOS...

I will pass the Russian lenses...

I believe it's someone buying up stock and selling them at inflated prices.

From this post in the above thread:

Yes, it sound like someone who try to get some money from rich customers far away from the Zenit shop.
But on my visit to the Zenit booth at the Photokina they told me too, the price for Germany will be about 450-500 Euro.
Wonder how things will work out - but I have my old chrome Helios 40.

By the way: Is there interest to see 1-2 hastly made images made with their 50mm f/1.2 prototype, have them somewhere on my computer?

What?
I missed the 50/1.2 thread too?
It's hard for me to keep up anymore...

There is no thread. And no other mentioned this lens on the different forums I read. Seems I am nearly the only one how saw this lens prototype on the Photokina :-)
