If it has an EVF it'd still be awesome. |

Fully agreed. Now we need the same thing, but without the lens |

This is exciting,... I think. If it has a viewfinder and the focus is reliable, I'm in! If it lacks a viewfinder or requires an attachment, then it's another non-starter for me (much like the Canon ef-m, Leica X-series, Olympus EP's... been there, done that). I love the Zeiss 35 f2... brilliant sharp lens... looking forward to seeing the back of the camera!! |

If it's fixed length I would have much preferred 50mm instead of 35mm, as 35mm is a bit wide on FF. But I understand why they would choose 35mm because it probably has wider appeal. |

Well, 35mm seems to be the standard FL for fixed lens compacts since film days. 50mm is not wide enough for all purpose use. With 35mm you can step closer if too wide, but it's not always possible to step back. |

The flash is housed where the EVF is on the Nex cameras, I'd guess there's no EVF. |

It would make for a good travel camera...and a fixed lens forces us from not having to worry/carry additional lenses. :-) |

So just to check, this is what we're calling the "pro nex" camera that the likes of Steve Huff spoke of? |

Looks like there's three custom modes on the top dial, why can't Nex get the same. Grrr... |

Ugh, this is so close to being ideal for me. My least favorite thing about my X100 is the focal length, since I'd prefer it in the 42-50mm range, but I can live with 35mm. However, not having a built-in EVF could keep me away from this camera. It'd better at least have a hotshoe EVF option. |

Got to love this Contax T3 reincarnation. Hope there is EVF. |

I am fine with a Rx100 without EVF (to keep size down) but I would rather the RX1 has one (only because I can hold it steadier). |
