MacKeeper has lots of negative reviews. Onyx is free and has always been highly recommended for system maintenance. |

Thanks Dan for the link. It definitely looks worth exploring. My buddy who consults on Macs is not a big fan of third party products running in the OSX environment so I tend to run a pretty vanilla operation. The simplicity of Macaroni is one of its appeals since it essentially runs regular Unix maintenance. I sent my friend a link and will see what he has to say on the topic. He's currently doing beta testing for the next iteration of OSX as he did previously for Lion. I trust his judgment. |

I've been using mackeeper for a several months and so far i haven't encountered any problems regarding on mackeeper. |
