As per Sebbohs request, these are crossposted from the Noct-Nikkor 58/1.2 thread. All are shot wide open with a Nikon D700. The first five are slightly cropped sideways, but the rest are untouched.

whoa! crazy. that looks pretty good. did you just stick hold it on the camera with your hand?

that makes me more curious about this lens on a FF nex...

Quick test snap with my Hexanon 57mm f/1.2. I've had the lens for a while, but I just got my adapter for my Fuji X-E1. Unfortunately, the adapter release mechanism is shoddily made and won't lock the lens in place, but it's tight enough I can shoot with it in controlled environments without fear of losing the lens. A little filing should get it to work, though.

Anyway, just a fast office shot. The reduced pixel density of the X-E1 vs my m4/3 cams is noticeable...the lens is quite sharp on APS-C.

Uzay, I am sure you know how difficult it's to manually focus f/1.2 lenses, especially hand-held.
Live View is your friend. Maximum zoom in LV, magnifying loupe, cable release, MUP, patience following moving branches and few attempts will get desired part of a subject in decent focus

This shot was taken the same way. Check the 100% crop of dotted numbering, especially spacing between dots. This ain't a macro lens, but not too bad either. Said that, personally I don’t expect or want pictures taken at f/1.2 to be sharp.

Already posted these in the MFNG thread on the Nikon forum, but since this is dedicated to 1.2 glass, these are all wide open with the AI'd Nikkor 55mm f/1.2 SC.

haven't seen much from that lens, most people seem to favor the 50/1.2 ais.
