The view from the Grandfather Mtn. bridge. This a four shot vertical pano using the Nikon 14-24 @ 14mm with the D800. The TIFF size is 327 MBs and measures 7750 X 7388 with no crop done. Also, notice the people on the left side of the cliff.

Some very nice shots in this thread! Haha love the one above, every gear head's wet dream :P

Currently undertaking a uni placement in Nepal, working in the refugee camps for the Bhutanese refugees, which has meant lots of opportunities for photos Also spent a few days in Kathmandu prior to coming down to eastern Nepal! Good chance to give the new D800 a workout. A few from the trip so far:

The Himalayas, as seen on the flight from Kathmandu to Biratnagar

A young girl selling chilies on the streets of KTM

A woman surveys the ruins of her hut, burned to the ground in a recent fire at the camp which claimd 70 similar huts, but miraculously no lives.

Volunteer refugee staff (and children!) conducting an HIV/AIDS awareness rally on World HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. Many condoms were handed out that day...

The view from our hotel in KTM. That's the Ganesh Himal rising in the background.

This one is quite special. The hope (and despair) in her eyes is very impressive.
