Not sure if this should be here or in the nature forum, but here it is. Done with 50mm f1.8 at f5 (I think) and around 1/60, using my "cheap" hotlights. The wife likes it, and I admit, it looks a lot better on paper! Comments welcome....you wont hurt my feelings!

I think it is quite lovely. But if I was going to shoot straight down with this much depth of field on one flower, I think I would have removed the green leaves at the bottom of the image so the flower would seem to be floating in the void.

On the other hand, one might say that the green and stem anchor the flower to the frame and reality.
