The only disappointment with the lens is that it's a DT series lens for APS-C. It covers FF just fine, although it might get a little weak in the corners on FF.

a900 with Rokinon 35 1.4 today. The lens is great though I do find shots like this require correction for barrel distortion.

I know you post at pentax forums and Getdpi with work from your pentax 645D. Can you compare the IQ between the two, especially in your larger (24" x30") prints.
BTW, really like the second shot in the rain, very nice.

Thanks guys. At prints up to about 16"x24", there is little difference between the A900 and 645D. At 20"x30" (the A900) and 24"x32" (645D), the 645D easily wins.

I just picked up the Minolta (pre-S0ny) AF 50mm (1:1 Macro)f/2.8 and the AF 50mm 1.4 of the same ilk. They're very very nice I must say! The macro is a match (at least!) for the Nikkor 55/2.8 micro and that's saying a lot!

Here's the 50/2.8 macro again - this is wide open and cropped from about 40 meters away:

The minolta 50 2.8 macro is very sharp and contrasty. At least with the one I owned, in the right situations, stopped down it could show sensor reflections with closer focused subjects. I did own the older, original version so it might be that the coatings were improved on later ones.

Can't decide if I prefer the B&W or the Color version in this attempt at scene stitching. Both shot with the ZA 85mm F1.4
