Donald, a very moving tribute. I\'m always touched by those WWII-era B&W portraits. There he is, just a kid. Maybe 18 or 19? Yet off to defend the freedom of his homeland. And let\'s not forget, for Britain it really was a desperate struggle for freedom, trying to stave off invasion, standing alone after most of Europe had fallen. Such desperate times. \"We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender....\"
