Re: Mustang Air to Air " The Sequel"

Oh, and regarding ear plugs:

Top left: Alpine Musicsafe, silicone rubber re-usable one-fits-all earplugs with replaceable filters. The yellow (inserted) filters do -18.8 to 27.7 dB, depending on frequency.
Top right: Exinore ER25, custom made silicone rubber plugs with -22.6 to 27.5 dB linear\'ish filters. (Courtesy of a former employer.)
Bottom: generic foam plugs, do roughly -30 dB, if inserted properly!

And my current protection of choice, courtesy of my current employer:

Tympro hard acrylic custom made ear plugs with adjustable dampening, set to maximum. Which is about -35 dB. This comes in handy when you occasionally have to stand near an electric arc furnace dumping 15 MWatt of electricity into scrap metal, raising the sound pressure towards 108-110 dB.

I don\'t know about cost elsewhere, but made-to-fit earplugs will cost about €160 including sales taxes here in the Netherlands. Are they worth it? Oh yes! The comfort is miles beyond the generic yellow foam plugs. The generic reusables sit in between, both in price (around €20 to €30) and in comfort.
