FS: LOWERED Panasonic GH1 + 14-140mm Kit + 1 Battery - $1295USD

Due to my never ending quest for the perfect hiking / mountaineering camera I am selling my GH1 in anticipation of my new GF1 and the recent acquiring of an Olympus EP1.

Before you commit to buy this camera there are several important things you should note. See my feedback to know that I try to be as honest and fair as possible without giving my gear away for nothing... ;-)

I make no apologies for using my gear. Because I used the GH1 in mountaineering and hiking scenarios all summer (I acquired the camera in early June from Henrys in Toronto and will provide the receipt with it), it did get some cosmetic wear on it - more than I\'d hoped actually.

I hardly ever use the LCD screen (almost always the EVF) but somehow some bits of dirt got behind the closed screen and the camera body on my very first outing and made some circular scratches on the LCD. This is disappointing but doesn\'t affect the operation of the screen or the camera. The viewing is not affected either - it\'s mostly noticeable when the screen is blacked out.

The body has some scuff marks, especially on the bottom from placing it on terrain for timed shots when I didn\'t have a tripod. None of these affect performance.

The lens also has some small scuff marks on the barrel but the glass is 100% clean and the lens operates flawlessly both in AF during video and all other modes of use. The lens hood dropped out of my pack and down a cliff face but you can order another one from Panasonic.

I realize that this camera is hard to come by but I also realize that I have to sell it for a fair price because of its cosmetic condition. I will not accept low ball offers, I\'d rather keep the camera than give it away or lose too much $$$ on it.

Here\'s what\'s included in the sale and what I paid for it in CDN $$$. All items come with original packaging and the kit comes with original receipt from Henrys.com in Toronto, Canada.

Panasonic GH1 + 14-140mm Kit ($1800)
1 x Panasonic Batteries ($80)

Total, new w/ taxes (5%): $1974 CDN

The batteries are essential because the camera will not operate without genuine Panasonic batteries due to Panasonic firmware.

Because of the damage and missing lens hood I am selling all of the above for $1400 CDN including insured shipping and PayPal fees to anywhere in North America. $1400 CDN = $1295 USD.

I am not prepared to lower this price at this time. You\'re saving around $500 off a new system if you consider that the PP and Shipping fees are included in my prices. I realize that if you\'re from the USA you\'re not saving quite as much as a Canadian but that\'s the cost of cross border differences on gear prices I\'m afraid...

I also have an Olympus 9-18mm LNIB, I\'m buying the m4/3\'s lenses for use on the GF1 or I wouldn\'t be selling this excellent wide angle lens.

Remember that the following prices include shipping and PayPal.

Olympus 9-18mm: $545 CDN ($719+tax new) - $510 USD
