Let me try to be clear, there isn't a smiley for disgust and disdain.
As wedding photographers we are always handed a P&S after our shot and this was a reverse case....and I did not do it. I could have handed him my GF's P&S but didn't even bother because he was there and ready. If you knew my sense of humor then you would have picked up on the irony inflection....the internet does not convey that well.
If you have any doubts about my character, l will not upstage another photographer. In fact, I will help out another tog in need. I got a call today from a tog that's 3 hours away. She gave up her medium format career when she got married and proceeded to have 3 kids. Her husband just drove them to declare bankruptcy. They are getting a divorce. She's had to pick up a camera again to make ends meet but she's lost in the digital world. She has a wedding tomorrow. I'm driving to the event with all of my gear, including my remote lights. We'll be at the venue 5 hours before it starts so that I can setup everything and she can play with everything and I can answer all her questions on digital. I'm using my own time and money because she can't afford to pay me as a second photographer but I will shoot the entire event and give her all the files.
