FS: Nikon 17-55/2.8

For sale is my 17-55/2.8 lens. Price is $750 and I\'ll cover paypal fees and insured UPS Ground shipping in CONUS. All original accessories (hood, soft cover, original box, manuals, etc.) are also included.

NOTE: Please read this. I had originally sold this lens 2 months ago for $900. However, the lens was damaged in shipping. There was no damage to the appearance of the lens (glass, body, etc were not touched), but the zoom ring was locked in place. The glass was perfect, focus was perfect, but the zoom didn\'t work. I\'m still not sure how it got damaged, since there was not a mark on the lens itself, but the zoom definitely didn\'t work. It has just returned from service (at a price tag of $370) for a full zoom repair, focus adjustment, and cleaning. The zoom ring is a little stiff, so you will probably notice that. The technician acknowledged the stiffness, but indicated it was normal for the new parts which were installed. Other than that, the lens is perfect. I have shot maybe 100 images through it and I can\'t tell any difference than when it was my primary lens on my D300. I did not notice the zoom stiffness in use after using it for 10-20 minutes, but you might notice it. I will include all paperwork from service, and it carries a 6-month warranty on the repairs.
