There are other fine 50\'s, but I can\'t imagine a better compliment to the Siggy.
The CY 50/1.4 is also a fine lens, and available for a lot less, but it simple is not as sharp or contrasty as the makro. (and my 1.4 was cherry-picked from 4 nice examples) It is close, though, (esp at F/8 + )and may be a good bet for the money.
I have example pics, but no way to give you access to high-res versions. A low-res FM post probably wouldn\'t show the differences well.
