These look much better than most first attempts at the \"White Room\" look.
I say \"White Room\" because you include the floor.
I would say \"White Seamless\" but to me...that does not include the floor, just a background.
First...I don\'t really care for this look. Never have. So my bias is \"clear\" and \"open.\" (Full disclosure if you will.)
Why?
I think it makes the people look like something for sale on \"ebayd.\"
Or...more like a \"catalog\" shot of some product.
And...this does not mean I don\'t like white as a \"background.\" I do like white \"backgrounds\" occasionally. Selectively used and for special effect or for special subjects.
But... I do think YOU have done a very good job for using the tools and a figure and a simple single prop.
So..Well done!
Your comments about \"fill\" and such...I think are really a matter of \"taste\" and \"style\" and \"preferences.\"
I like and even \"prefer\" shadows. (By the way, your photos of Caleb are nice. )
Whatever direction you take from now on...let it be your own.
