Re: Manual Focus Nikon Glass

Well, I am for sure going to sell my 80-200mm f/4.5 AI lens. I have only had one occasion to use its full reach, the rest of the time I am shooting 100mm or less. I would like to offer it here first (I cannot afford a buy/sell membership at this time because of finances, I wonder if one of you would be able to help advertise for me?). I am letting it go for under $100, so if someone wants a great lens for a great price, let me know. The lens has the usual scuffs in the finish one would see on a used lens, but nothing that is bad. It also has zoom creep like all of these do. There is some electrical tape on the lens that the previous owner used to help with this, could use another layer. I would give this an EX rating using KEH\'s standards. There are 6 pictures, so please allow me this indulgence.

All taken with a Series E 100mm @ f/5.6, ISO100. Incidentally, I also did these completely manually with an external light meter with one CFL umbrella light (no other light sources)...indoors.

This shows the only \"issue\" with the lens, a divot in the filter threads. I can spin a filter on half way before it binds. I had intended to grind that part of the filter threads down so anything attached would screw all the way in. Have not done it... Has not been any impediment with the operation of the lens (in my usage).

You can see my umbrella reflecting off the front element. That is mostly a little dust, I could only find one speck inside the lens, on the rear element, but I haven\'t seen it on any picture.

The rear area thought the lens, nothing that shows on any picture. Incidentally, the lens is at 200mm, so it is actually magnifying between two of the lines.

Rear mount and element. This is the version with the square baffle at the rear. Exceptional piece of glass.

Through the looking glass.

Let me know if anyone is interested or knows of anyone that is interested. Price includes shipping in the US, lets talk if outside of the US.

One last thing. That is the wrong rear cap on the lens, that one goes on a borrowed lens. Front and rear caps are included.

Here is a link to the album that has the above images as well as sample shots taken with the lens. http://flic.kr/s/aHsjDvJshz
