I switched from Mamiya-Sekor to Canon in 1973 after I was shipwrecked in the South China Sea. Fortunately it was on the coast of Malaysia where we had sailed from. The Mamiya drowned, I was unharmed.
I stayed with Canon for: higher quality lenses and better overall system thinking especially with the clean introduction of the EOS system.
