As I remember. There is a 'power supply' as pictured on the top of this pile.

That's all I remember.

I don't think there was a 'strobe' used in here.. As I recall it was just 6 or 8 bright incandescent lights surrounding the lens. You may have been more likely to have success the one of the Nikkor Macro lenses, and a ring flash for the end of it.
