The display is excellent cosmetically. I appled white Sugru (http://sugru.com) to the ends of the mini DisplayPort, USB, and MagSafe power cables, to prevent any fraying of the cables from frequent docking/undocking.
I had the internal power supply replaced by Apple last summer, as it had started to emit a faint humming noise. After the work was done, exactly one stuck pixel appeared in the upper right third of the display (arg!). It is only noticeable on a window with a white background and no other content. Otherwise, everything is 100% functional and in excellent condition (the stuck pixel makes it a 9 instead of a 9+, I think).
