Please identify vintage Speedotron accessory

I don't have a photo of it, and the best way to describe it is as a stubby, black collar, like a tin coffee can cut in half horizontally, that mounts onto a 7" reflector and accepts 7" diameter grids. It's deep enough to hold two or three grids stacked inside. Approx, 3-4" in height.

When I have seen a photo of it, it appears to have a grid on one end that may or may not be permanently attached to the collar.

Has anyone seen, used, or does anyone own this? My guess is that it's for stacking grids or further shaping the cone of light thats already narrowed by a grid. Would love to know what it is, and possibly acquire one to explore it.

Thanks!
John
