The poll and thread are meaningless if a) the voters have not experienced both lenses and/or b) the thread has no photos.
I can help with b)
Here is an example of why I sold the Zeiss:
Such a simple shot, but so much to dislike (IMO).
Now, here is why I loved the FD (SSC Aspherical, which might be slightly different than the nFD 85 L):
Is it sharp? (Yes)
I would say, with conviction, that the above photos (and I have many more samples) simply could not be taken to the same effect with the Zeiss.
