it depends on the individual.
as long as you dont turn green when you've just coughed up 3 grand for a camera and then you see b&h (for example) classing it as a point and shoot. The x100 is already there, waiting for its new japanese friend 
told ya, if it doesnt change lenses, it's a p&s
