Thanks for comments. As nice as 400 is, more zoom would be even better (duh). I\'d cropped this to the point where it is losing sharpness. I will probably go back to the 28-300 lens I sold a few days ago, but I\'m on a journey, experimenting with lenses for a while. The 2x tele is a great enhancement, but without auto focus, getting birds that are on the move is nearly impossible.
