Re: Mini Football (Super Bowl)

Very nice stuff, Frank. Love the look of the FF 400 on the 1DX.

#1 and #3 are my faves.

#6 is a great angle which does a great job of bucking the \"rule\" to shoot low to make the small players look bigger... it works in reverse too... shoot from above to capture how small these tough tykes were. Would be better of course without the extra kid in the background.

Love the expression in #9... another one that could\'ve catapulted to Paul A\'s level if the feet were included instead of the awkward crop at the knees and the zebra in the bg. But trust me, I know you get what you get on these crowded fields, and you don\'t avoid taking the shot if the backgrounds aren\'t absolutely perfect.

#14 is another great one that is so close to being stellar... nicely exposed face, great eyes and expression. Look at the hands on that kid... the comfortable control of the of the ball, gaining yards while keeping an eye on the D. Would love to combine the best of that shot with #16... add in the stiff arm and all limbs perfectly framed. #13 is right there in the middle too... great expressions on receiver and defender, great ball action.

Overall your backgrounds are great in the whole set... nicely melted but still very contextual. I\'d crop #11 a little tighter on the sides to a 4x6 aspect and lose the partial players on the side. Nice colorful crowd in #4... much better than empty bleachers.

Our youth league championships are tomorrow. I can only hope to get a few as good as these.
