You are so right about data being manipulated.
I just found the same thing while shopping for CF

The one I was considering advertised transferring speed @ 133mb
But someone ran a test and showed otherwise more like 20mb
As far as the battery I\'m going to make a stab at it @ 5.00
But I sen an email to the seller tha I was planning getting them

I don\'t really belive you when you write about the CF cards here. What card claim it had 133mb speed? And only had 20mb! Because the only card out of the known brand names that I have seen that claim that is the new Lexar 1000x. And they say 150mb. The other known brands say 90 or 100mb with their top cards.
You probably belive the 133x cards are the same as 133mb. But it\'s very different. The 133x cards are slow and coulöd probably show 20mb p/s when testing them. But they claim it\'s a 133x card. NOT 133mb.
A 133mb card would be close to a 1000x card
