Tenba 400 LL
is my favourite bag for 500 f/4 and 400 f/2.8 lenses with 1D camera mounted and hood reversed.
The bag comes with an excellent shoulder strap, but the backpack harness needs to be bought separately if needed.
I also keep my 500 f/4 lens stored in the bag at home.
The bag can not accomodate the 600mm lens.
The B&H price is $165 which is significantly cheaper than those fancy/weird named backpacks.
Tenba quality is high and similar to that of Lowepro and Think Tank bags.
