im no pro nor regularly sell images. But I do sell them and license them for various things. I have had images used in and on magazines and text books this and the last couple years. So to me it is justified to try to find out if there is anything I can do in this situation, pro or not. The thing about the shot, it actually is very unique because it only happened once and there were a very limited number of people even taking pics, let alone at the angle i was at. One more thing is that the people involved in the picture have verified to the best of their knowledge that it is my picture, and i have no relationship or connection to them.
my pics that i have hosted on my site are also setup so they cant be copied, they have my name on them (watermark), and were only 800x500 which couldn\'t be viewed at full size. So from there it would have to be screen a screen shot then cut up which for what they were doing was plenty of resolution. All the pics your friend have posted could be copied just as easily as mine and used in the same way considering they chopped 70% of the picture up. To me there are many things I have against me, but equally I have many things in my corner for this.
Anyway I am going to try to pursue this if it looks to be a legitimate case for a person to take. I am waiting to hear back on the thoughts and if I should walk away or have a fighting chance.
