Lensrental - do you know how great US photographers ...
... conditions are?
I just checked LRs conditions and found out that the 4day fee for an (e.g.) EF 70-300 4.0-5.6 L IS USM is about $54,75. WOW! Here in germany I have to pay $ 148 for the same item and time periode at a well known dealer/rental. Without insurance and I have to pay a deposit of additional $ 1723 (what I get back if I bring back the lens without damage - else they will keep the caution).
Same with cameras! Hell! If I would live in the united states, I would stay with my two favorite lenses and would purchase a new one not without having rented it first and find out that the renting costs for my needs in a year would overcome the purchase. I wish, they (or I could find a company here) would offer their service here in germany with comparabel rates.
If I visit the united states next time I guess I will lett all lenses (except one) at home and rent instead.
