yes there will be CS6 as there was 5, 4 and back to the beginning. during each versions tenure there were incremental updates fixes and raw (aka: new camera) updates as they came out. it used to be a yearly upgrade from major upgrade. from 3 to 4 was just a little over a year from release to release. from 4 to 5 was 18 months. 5 to 6 is pushing beyond that so far. the CS6 upgrade will have some surprises and it will continue your RAW conversion updates and around the same time i would say LR will be upgraded too.
in my opinion if you are going to purchase the hardware and decide to use the independently available software you are going to need to pay the fare. now i don\'t see canon or nikon doing anything in the upgrade pricing arena for any of their hardware at all. its pay to play. welcome to capitalism. its your choice to use what you want. no force was ever applied to you to purchase any of this stuff. don\'t whine when someone adjusts the game they control. you have the right and ability to leave at anytime.
