p.1 #1 · One shot Focus AF focus on 5D vs 30D vs 1D
I am just curious about the AF of a 5D is one shot focus better on the 5D vs 30D and what about the 1D MKIIn I know AI servo will be better but what about the 1 shot mode. I am mostly interested in the accuracy of the selectors rather than the speed.
When shooting a portrait my 30D does not always latch onto the eyes more times than not it will grab another area one of more contrast. I know manual focusing will solve this issue I am just curious about the AF differences.
p.1 #2 · One shot Focus AF focus on 5D vs 30D vs 1D
For one-shot mode, try to select the AF sensor you will be aiming the camera with rather than allowing the camera to choose. For instance, if you choose the center AF sensor and then aim at the subject's eyes with it, you will have much better luck getting the eyes in focus than if you allow the camera to select the focus point.
p.1 #3 · One shot Focus AF focus on 5D vs 30D vs 1D
In One Shot I've seen no difference in AF accuracy or speed between the 5D and the 30D. In terms of accuracy in One Shot I believe the 5D and 30D have a slight edge over the 1-series in low light (but not the new 1Dm3 though)
