'Cones' sculpture in the gardens of the National Gallery of Australia.
I may not know art, but this is shiny so what's not to like? :D

Canon 24-70 vs. 28-70...
I've seen many, many posts here and elsewhere declaring the older 28-70 to be sharper than the newer 24-70. One or two members here said they sold their 24-70 in order to go BACK to a 28-70. Photozone's tests seem to support the sharpness of the 28-70 vs. the 24-70 as well.
So ... what's the real story? I'm trying to decide between these two lenses and perhaps save a few bucks by going in the direction of the 28-70 ... but not if I sacrifice IQ in the process. Thanks for any real-world input you can provide.
