Took these this summer using a Nikon 50 f/1.5 and a Canon 250D close up filter. In retrospect, I could have afforded to stop down a little to get some extra DOF, but the fun is in the learning! Any thoughts?
Sweet bokeh, but not much magnification. That's why I'm getting a dedicated macro lens. I have that 50mm 1.8 and it is outstanding............
I have to agree on all fronts, more mag would be nice, but the low mag with the ability to focus close can make for some unique compositions.

#1 could be fixed in two ways, stopping down or getting my focal plane parallel to the flower in focus. I thought I was
Gosh, never noticed that about #4, but now that you mention it, yea ... I'll have to watch for that. Thanks. Would have been easy to fix by moving a petal or two.
