Contax 35-70. Many times I thought about selling it and getting a Canon 28(24)-70mm f2.8, but it just doesn't have the micro-contrast you get form the Contax Zeiss.

Now my most recent lens (just paid for it, will take some time to have it) is a converted Canon FD 35/2.8 Tilt/Shift.
Now I have my trinity! :-)

Just got a Leica 90mm Elmarit latest version. I really liked the 90mm cron I had. It will be interest to see how this compares.
I assume you mean R lenses. I used to have Elmarit and Summicron 90s in the M version. Both wonderful lenses for color and tonal rendition and the Summicron was very sharp but that Elmarit was sharp enough to cut your eyes!

For the R lenses, the Elmarit is slightly sharper in the centre, but noticeably better towards the corners. The Cron is no slouch though, and has a very nice look to it, so which you prefer is an open question.

Yeah, these are the R lenses. I liked the cron a lot especially the short MFD, but the elmarit has the same MFD and both work with elpro close-up lenses--which I liked a lot with my cron. I have heard that the elmarit is even better for this type of shooting, so it will be interesting to compare.

I should have a Version 3 M 90mm summicron here tomorrow, it's mint- I'd say. Here's a shot of the sales ad for it, even comes with Leica filter and box. For a bit over 1K, ok, over 200 over 1K, but still, you get what you pay for sometimes.

also is it me or is there some motion blur in that photo
Possibly some motion blur, it's a slow shutter speed. May also be a reflection on the filter (yes, I know it's MRC!) due to the camera angle since it's at the bottom and not the top-- it was much less than ideal shooting conditions.
