If anyone is looking for a 250SA, I know someone who knows someone who is selling one in Berlin, Germany The price will be fair, not a bargain, but given that this lens can be really hard to find, I thought I'd give a heads-up.

Dollars to donuts this will be a one-and-only:
Shimpo pottery stool. Good, firm, round seat. Adjustable from 18" to 26". Here's the kicker. Each leg is adjustable separately. Think about it; a stool you can adjust to fit a hillside.

250 SA = 250mm f/5.6 Super Achromat, for Hasselblad. Price is normally in the 3000-3500 Euro region. Expensive lens, but it is meant to be colour-flaw-free and very sharp. Boke is so-so. It is really excellent for distance landscape work.

not an apochromatic lens:
No, it´s far better! I´m so thrilled that someone else too has taken the ultimate step towards total colour correction. After trying this lens there is no remorse left for any colour aberrations. Yes, the SA has some characteristics that do need attention. But they are not flaws, just characteristics.
But I hesitate to list my experiences here and now. A totally open mind is always the best mind when a new lens is in ones hands. I´ll say this: the SA has not a "Jack of all trades, expert of none"-type IQ. There are true strongholds and there are some pretty aggressive characteristics. One of the strongholds are that the differing characteristics are predictable. And so it should be according to the Zeiss´ papers on MTF´s and bokeh.
Get some images and start a new thread on the SA. I´ll fill in if I can find anything to add. This lens deserves appropriate attention, merciless, as it is!
A shade can easily be made of black paper before you get the "real thing". It´s easy to wind around the cylindrical front part of the lens. It can be made substantially longer than the shade for a 6x6 coverage.
Congrats to the optics. Hope you can cope with the rugged edges of the Hasselblad C-series lenses.

Purchased a Canon FD 400 MM F4.5 lens today on B/S ( 2/04/12 ). Plan on using it on Panasonic M4/3s and Nikon D300 bodies. Should be here in a week or so.

Recent Lens purchase? Moving from the 5D2 to a NEX Setup.
Old: 5D2, 24-105L, Canon 50/1.4
New: NEX-5N, CV 15mm, G Zeiss 28/2.8, Zeiss 35/2 ZM, G Zeiss 90/2.8
I'm trying to figure out if I'm going to keep the 35/2 ZM or the G Zeiss 45/2. I'm leaning towards the ZM based on IQ. Has anyone tried both of these on the NEX? which did you prefer?

I havent tried the ZM, but I have had no complaints at all with my G45.

rioni, there are plenty of amazing images from the G45 in the marathonic NEX image thread. So at least take a look before you decide to sell it. Also, there's quite a difference in focal length between them so I would hold on to it for a while regardless.

Two more LF lens for me to experiment with, woo!
- 5 1/2" f7.7 Aldis Uno Anastigmat No1 brass lens
- 8" f18 Unnamed European brass achromat/meniscus lens
I now want a Sinar P2 kit very badly.
No doubt I will get one.
My family thinks I have an incurable addiction.

I just put money down on the Zeiss 25mm f2, after ordering it about two weeks ago. I guess I am expecting it any day now. If it is half as good as the 35mm f1.4, then I am set.
