Zuiko 24/2.8 is one of the best 24mm lenses around.I like it more than my OM 24/2.
out of curiousity, how come?
my initial impression is that it is has very pleasant rendering with clear colors and is very even across the frame, but lacks some of the clarity and bite of the rokkor as well as not focusing as close and being a bit warmer.

Yes.It has not the Rokkor bite and crispness but colours are pleasant and pretty warm.Sharpness across the frame is it's bigger strenght imo.I would say that no other 24mm alt can rival this tiny excellent lens for even overall sharpness.

24/2.8+NEX3 "Classic"
yeah, i was just wondering about the comparison to the OM 24/2, which i though was pretty comparable across the frame but a little lower contrast and better close up than the 24/2.8.

They're not a new purchase, but I've been using my two voigtlander lenses for most of my shots recently: http://www.phigmenttech.ca/lmnex/voigt.jpg
What type of adapter is this? Does it read Leica lens codes?

It's an adapter I made for m-mount lenses.
Yes, it does read leica codes and embeds the info into EXIF. It also couples the lens to the focus assist.
Great idea, and very useful! Can you give us a rough idea on cost?
