I just ordered Mamiya RZ67 50mm ULD for my landscapes, I know it's not a Zeiss but I saw some very good images from it and maybe it's the only WA has ULD, so I decided to jump in.I will DIY the mount for Sigma or maybe for Canon also (FFD = 105mm).The image is borrowed:

Strange! that lens has a focusing barrel... odd for an RZ.

I paralelly ordered helicoid adaptor35-90mm m42-m42 and m42-SA adaptor and 3 EF AF confirm chips for this pure mechanical project. If the images is as good as expected, I might think about T/S adaptor also, but certaintly it's 2nd choice.
The blue ring causes an attractive look, but until now, I haven't known what is it for?.I read somewhere that for floating elements adjustment, like fine tuning, after focusing?.
Interesting that Mamiya user maynot know well about Mamiya products in the whole, not like Zeiss or Leica generations.

The bottom ring is for locking the lens to the camera, and the blue ring is for moving the floating group. Since the focusing is normally done from the body, there is no way for the lens itself to move the floating group, so you must focus twice, transferring the distance from body to lens.

Just added a Topcor 50/2 LTM to my collection, I read a few recommendations on the RF forum that says its a good performer, I guess I'll see soon.

Here's a nice SMC Pentax-M 400mm f/5.6 lens that I picked up yesterday through my local Kijiji. It's on my Fujifilm X-Pro 1, using three stacked adapters; (i) Pentax-EOS, (ii) EOS-LM, and (iii) LM-FX. The first two photos show the gear. The third photo shows the scene taken with a 24mm lens, with a small red rectangle to highlight the FOV shown in the fourth photo, which is the full scene from the X-Pro 1 + SMCP-M 400/5.6, at f/8. This fourth image is the RAF RAW file from ACR, lightly touched for exposure and USM using PS CS6. In this case, the lightly PP'ed RAW file looks better than the SOOC jpeg file, using camera defaults.

Thanks guys. I'll probably pick up an EOS-FX adapter soon. Too bad there isn't a Leitax solution for Pentax to EOS, or even Fotodiox Pro...

I am curious what you think of the image quality compared to the old X100. Everything else is better without argument, I guess.

Konica Hexanon AR 85/1.8 AE - they say it is even better than the excellent Hexanon 100/2.8 that I already have. We'll see

And another Hexanon 40/1.8 - so cheap and so good that having two just in case is not obtrusive.

BTW:Rokkor 50/1.2 is really a very special lens - after today's shootout I found that it's colours and image "plasticity" speak to me louder than those of MC PG Rokkor 50/1.4 which was till now my favourite MD standard. And it's perfectly usable/sharp at f 1.2.

Well, my RZ67 90mm with the scratch is going back. Too bad, I tried it once, and love the results, but the guy just wouldn't budge on the price, which was too high even without a scratch, but with, it was just ludicrous.

If anyone know where I might find a nice 90 for a decent price in Europe, I am all ears.

it's a pretty awesome lens, i sorely miss it. it's big weaknesses are hexagons stopped down and loCA. it can have some pretty funky bokeh wide open too, but sometimes i liked that.

Thanks Carstenw for blue ring/floating group explanation - My Apo-Makro-Planar also has FLE but it seems to work automatically.

Yes.It can show some hexagons in more or less contrasty lighting, but in even lighting boheh is smooth and it is sharp wide open

Most lenses do, there is one or more helicoids inside to move them, but not the lenses without helicoids, like Mamiya RB and RZ.
