Just got myself a nice late Zuiko 28/2 and am looking forward to giving it a head to head with my Contax 28/2.8.
I got it for it's wide open bokeh performance which is very highly rated by some, rather than closed down much, where I expect the Contax to be "superior". It's size is lovely, small enough to be easily portable but not too small to cause finger problems with Grad NDs, (like the very highly rated 24/2.8 and 21/3.5 do, sadly, or I'd get them too.)
Nice, I think you'll be very happy with it. I am. I prefer to use the Zuiko 28/2 over the other 28's I have, including the Contax and Leica R 28's (E55), simply for the Zuikos wide open performance and bokeh. The Zuiko 28/3.5 is the 'better' Zuiko lens for stopped down performance, and to rub salt into the wound, at a 1/3 of the price!

Thanks John, I'm looking forward to trying it out.

Mamiya Sekor CU 75/1.9, supposedly covers 6x9, something to play with.
Mamiya 645 80/1.9 N, to replace the one that was stolen.
Minolta MD 28/2.0 EOS mount, also to replace the one that was stolen.
Gah, all this, AFTER, purchasing a Fiji X-E1 silver body, Fuji XF 35/1.4, and Fuji XF 18-55.

This guy came today (for use on my X-E1). Now just have to wait for the adapter, which should be here today or more likely tomorrow. Going to be a painful wait.

A Summicron-R 35/2 arrived on Saturday. I've got a little work to do to get infinity focus with it and the speedbooster, it seems.
Also got a CV 15/4.5 last week. Such a cute little lens! Initial results show a strangely asymmetric field curvature - the left edge focuses way back for some reason (could be the adapter(s)? it's an LTM so it's got the CV LTM-M adapter and then the Fotodiox Pro M-Nex, which has worked well for me with other lenses).
However, at most apertures it still outperforms the Sony 16 I have (which was a relatively good copy).

It's not been attached yet. I'd prefer to not have a lens with a element defect.
The diagram doesn't indicate that the front element is glued... It's either on the rear of the front element or the front of the second element - or, the bad one the glued second and third element.

I would be super bummed if this wasn't noted, and would definitely return it.
Good luck to you!

the front element can be removed fairly easily with a spanner or rubber cup.

Don't have one. I've looked closely with a jewelers loupe and it appears to be bubbles. I can't think of anything else it could be other than separation. If I had to guess it looks behind the front element or on the front of the second element. I'm not going to touch it though.
I've contacted the seller and he's agreeable with anything I'd like to do.
