About to pull the trigger on something I've wanted for a long time but having last minute doubts...how much would one spend on a very good condition Contax 35mm 1.4 w/ excellent glass but some small barrel scuffs?

I just got a lens back from SK Grimes, with a newly made adapter. It's a Civil War vintage Petzval that is now put in a Nikon F-mount adapter. Bottom line is I'm now using a Civil War era lens on my Nikon D5100 DSLR. Does that count?

I've just succumbed to the cheap Korean Rokinon lens syndrome. Picked up the 8mmn f2.8 fisheye for the NEX. Haven't taken it out of the box yet, but I expect it to exceed my expectations. ;-)

Oh, please please please post photos of that! And photos made with that too, of course

I've got a Minolta MC 300/4.5 coming today. I'll be very interested to see how it does with the NEX-7 since it was less than a third the price of the CZ 300/4.
Also got a Maxxum APO 1.4x for the a900. I'm looking to replace the Leica 1.4 with something that will accept the Alpha mount and I think I may have stumbled onto something here. The Maxxum's front element doesn't extend past the mount like it does on the Leica 1.4, so it actually fits on lenses, like the Cron-R 90 and the Elmarit-R 100 APO, that the Leica doesn't. It won't fit if lens' rear element is right at or protrudes from the mount, which are mostly wides anyway, and not lenses I'd use with a converter. The only mechanical problem is that the diameter of the Maxxum's front element is wider than that of the Leica, so it pinches off the aperture arm on the lens. Not only won't the iris close, I can't even set the aperture and then mount the lens. The rotation of the lens on the converter pushes the arm back to wide open, no matter the setting on the aperture ring. I'm going to test it wide open to see if it's worth pursuing an arm removal.

Mamiya Sekor Z 127mm f/3.8 for the RZ67 (which I don't yet own)
I have decided to try the RZ67, with the 127mm and 65mm lenses. This is a focal length spacing I really enjoy, and I have wanted to try 6x7 for some time now.

I really like to see photos of all these new/old lenses.
I had a CV 15 Super wide LTM and sold it after using on the NEX-7 due to corner color casts, but the NEX-6 has restored my faith in using symetrical wide angles on NEX cameras. I rented a M mount version from lensrentals, as a first time renter, and now took delivery of my own M mount version today. This lens is one of those staple lenses that can find a 23mm EFL home on APS-C especially, but full frame as well if you want to go that wide. Pardon the dust. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8356/8295952976_d12277d9a2_z.jpg
