We have a pretty rare discontinued Sigma 14mm f/2.8 Aspherical HSM lens. Had it now a little over a year with no issues.
Yesterday went to take a few photos with it and it wouldn’t mount on my 5D MK II?! It hasn’t been dropped or used in probably about a month. No visible issues with anything bent on the actual lens mount and our other lenses work fine with the camera bodies. It just will not even begin to rotate on the mount physically.
Did a quick Google search but since the lens is discontinued didn’t yield any results with like problems.
Contact and send off to Sigma? Anyone else ever have this problem with a Sigma mount lens?

doesn't sound normal, i will ask though do to the last part of this post- did you make sure to buy a Canon mount sigma lens? Sigma does in fact make bodies so a SIGMA mount lens (as you put it) definitely wouldn't mount on a canon body correctly.
