p.1 #1 · using mc mount manual lens on a sony a55v
I recently purchased a Sony a55v and would like to use my old lenses from my konica minolta days. They are mc/md mounts, manua used on a minolta 700. Is there a lens mount adapter for this. I found one advertised on Amazon that seems to fill the bill, but I am unable to purchase it since it is out of stock or is unavailable. Need to be pointed in the right direction, and need to know if the lenses will perform well on the a55.

sorry, it's not clear to me what type of lenses you want to use? do you mean minolta MC/MD mount, do you mean leica m-mount, or something else? what was the exact film camera you used them on? if you mean minolta MC/MD mount the lenses will need a mount conversion to work on the a55 - there is an adapter but it has its own lens in it which degrades image quality substantially. if you mean leica m-mount there is no way to use those on an a55 other than as a macro lens.

The adapter you saw on amazon is probably an adapter with glass element which likely degrades the image quality of your lenses. There are glassless adapters that retain the lenses' IQ but only work at macro distances. You can easily find both of these adapters on Ebay.
Minolta also made 2 converters that you can put these lenses on on alpha mount bodies but they also act as 2x converters.
The only way to use these lenses on alpha mount and retain their original specs (i.e focus to infinity) is to have their mc/md mounts converted to a-mount. Hope it helps.
