Thanks for the comparison. Just to be sure, pic 2 is the C/Y right?

Edit nevermind, I saw the full comparison in the Leica vs Zeiss thread. The C/Y has some seriously smooth blur, I like it.

Joe, Thanks for the compliment! I really like the girl with the umbrella image. I think that could be a solid black and white image as well.

Thanks Dave and Jim.

Jim, that's a very nice shot with the 35 Summaron, I like the dark tones to it.

Joe,
Thank You.The Summaron never disappoints. Its the only lens that allows me to shut down the shadows / exposure while still leaving enough light in the center of the image.....It's hard to explain, maybe it's the"Leica glow" that every one talks about.
Jim

Lovely rose shot Jim, a better version of this from last July [edit - of course I mean that yours is the better version!], I think I lit it with my phone! Canon FDn 50/1.4:

Thanks for the feedback on my photos, appreciated.

alan_m, regarding the kit lens, its exceeded my expectations. Find it very usable.
So i decided to keep it, and use it.

Have the kit lens, a Tokina 90mm 2.5, and a Canon FDn 50 1.4 i received yesterday.
I need a good wide angle for landscapes. I will wait for the zeiss 12mm, then decide between that and the Sony 10-18 . Just check the reviews first.

Here is some pictures i took today with the 50mm i got yesterday.
Very happy with the sharpness, and handling.

Jim, the minimalist rose works for me, really liking it.

Taran, hot girl on a boat, good pose. good shot!

I was stuck indoors today and rehashed a few of my photos from the Yosemite backcountry last year. First is CV 15, new conversion. Second is CV 40/1.4, new conversion. Last is one I had not processed yet, also with the CV 40/1.4.

(these flickr versions show some oversharpening)

I've been following this thread for awhile, some really awesome and diverse work presented here, very inspirational. I've been using a Ricoh GXR and M-mount glass for awhile now. There's been not a peep from them regarding updates I've been hoping for, so I picked up a pre-owned NEX-6 to try out. So far I'm liking everything about it except the adapter situation, I'm returning my second dud now. Here are a few taken with the CV 15/4.5.

More fantastic shots on this page!

@Highfive - are you really a novice? Your (great) shots have a very assured, experienced look to them! And the FDn 50/1.4 is a fine lens also, though mine (and the great FDn 28/2.8) has been retired with extreme prejudice recently by FDn 35/2, my do-everything focal length on NEX/APS-C, for now! :-) Have a FDn 24/2.8 on the way; I'll see if it can compete.

One of those days when an ugly patch of semi-waste ground with nothing to photograph on first glance turns up a few shots with a bit of effort. FDn 35/2 + NEX-5 (yes, the old one!):

@Jacob, I love the middle shot. Makes me want to ride a skateborad down it.

@Morph, I also like the G28. I like the infinity shot.

Second one with the G28 @ f5.6. Big Version Here

First is CV15. This wide is very new to me, but it's a lot of fun. Big Here

@alan_m.
Thanks

Yes, i am pretty new to this. I went to Australia in September for a month.
So 4 day before i left i got the idea it would be pretty handy with a camera to take some pictures from the trip.
Read some reviews, and ended up with the nex5n. Perfect size, and the IQ looked brilliant.

When i got home i was kind of hooked. Been shooting ever since

That 35/2 looks very nice, like the character and bokeh. Lovely creative shots!
