I will remember to add lens info in the future, All taken with kit lens 18-55, except the flower, its Tokina 90m 2.5 ATX.

I love the Sony 85/2.8, IMHO it's by far the best 85 you can buy in terms of per-dollar performance. Note that it is a straight clone of the Contax 85/2.8, but focuses much closer (to 0.6m).

The downsides are a smallish focus ring, pedestrian AF and a cheap build. But optically it will perform on par with the best AF 85's at the same apertures.

I really wish that Sony would clone the Contax 28/2.8, 35/2.8 and 135/2.8 in the same manner.

Love the images from Norway, great job with the exposure. The composition and perspective are incredible also! This is from this afternoon. An old tree that I have worked on for years. Sony Nex 6, 35 1.8 lens. I did add some work in post, but used the 'toy filter' in camera.

oh, it definitely has some pop, and i posted some ducks in between pics of my daughter.

i'm afraid i haven't gotten out much lately.

Great introduction Highfive - beautiful work and impressive performance from the kit lens!

Sebboh, I would go insane trying to choose between all those lovely lenses!

Nice portrait Photoomaha. Agree with Jim - my reflex is to think "oh-oh, noisy" but it's great here; I might not have had the nerve!

Wondeful shots all! The NEX platform seems to be suited to all types of photography, judging from the varied pics posted on this thread.

photoomaha, love your style of shooting! That dodgeball pic on #525 is stunning with all the diagonals running all over the composition, really nice! Also like your B&W treatment with your son's portrait, excellent!
sebboh, excellent pics with the 40Cron & 35Lux. Really like the look of the 35Lux on that shot of your daughter.
mawz, really nice architecture shot.
Jim, I've been following your post with the NEX7 and all your lenses, excellent pics throughout the thread.
Alan, very nice sharp shots with the FD lenses.

I'm still on the fence if I should keep my E-mount lenses particularly my Sony 24 1.8 since I already have a RX1, but the upcoming NEX7(n) could be interesting enough to keep me interested, especially if it could work better with wide angle M lenses.

A few pics taken last year with my NEX7 during a vacation in Tokyo.
First 3 shots 24 1.8, last 50 1.8OSS. Not sure if these Sony lenses qualify for this alt thread?
