Thanks all - I had dialled down the flare in pp, but now I'm thinking I should call a bug a feature (as we say in software development ;-)) and reveal the crazy flare in all its glory. What do you think of this version?
Thanks to all for your comments on the white horse shot. One thing that i appreciate about the Sony Sensor is the ability to shut down the shadows with out destroying the shot and maintaining detail in the highlights.
sebboh - i like the pine tree shot
alan- m - i think in a shot like above the more flare the better i like the second shot more.
Here is on from Nex 7 / Sigma / Accura 135 f2.8 @ f16

Manual focus is quite easy, images just snap into focus. I am afraid its going back up for sale, because I just found a nearly new Leica 280mm F/4.0 and I can't afford to keep both. So its got a week on this site then its off to fleabay... If you want it in new condition, this is probably the only one left in the world, only 20 were converted.
A couple from a Snowshoe hike up and down Steptoe Butte in the Palouse Region of Washington State
Nex 7 with Sony 55-210 lens nice to have a lightweight kit for hikes like this instead of dragging the 5D Mark II or 1 D Mark III up and down with me

Beautiful Derek - great color & feel to these last two!
Ray, wow, excellent!
Alan - yes, the reprocessed version is better - show off that flare!
Thanks Jeff!

A few with from the Canon FDn 35/2 + original NEX-5:
i am always surprised what you get out of that lens, had one for a year, never liked it. After i saw some of your images i tried it again and sold it afterwards, couldn't get it to work for me.

Was yours a good copy? It's super-sharp from 2.8, with lovely bokeh; I can't imagine you not doing great stuff with it, if you like the focal length (which I've discovered I love on APS-C). Mine's been glued to my NEX since I got it; it's almost retired my 28mm & 50mm lenses.

Beautiful winter scenes, btw!
thanks ;-)
Performance was quite good, but i never liked the colors and the images i took with it lacked somehow. If i get the chance to try another one i will try it again! It will have a hard stance against the G28 though ;-).

love those first two phillip! how are you liking the rokkor 100/2.5?
lovely lens, not that much bigger than a 50mm, performance seems to be as good as with the MD 100/4 Macro but focusing is nicer.
Great series of shots as usual Phillip.
Ron, your shots from the 21 seem to be getting better, just getting used to it I guess.
I was also wondering how active/accurate the peaking was with it wide open vs. stopped down, as I have a few wides that are hard to nail focus even with a good amount of peaking to help.
