The second and third are every bit as good as I have come to expect from you, Phillip, but the first one is even better! Obviously I am not about to post a nature shot after such a display, so let's try this...

Can someone tell me if it's worth spending $200 more on the Nex6 over the Nex5R?
thanks

You'd have to provide us with how much you value the different features of each. Then we can do the math for you and tell you if it's worth it ;-) Really, it's just features. For me, the form factor fitting my hands better, and the built-in EVF, mean the answer is "yes". I don't miss the touch screen at all.
And hoped they'd come closer, then almost immediately regretted it, as I was obviously out-numbered and out-gunned if they turned angry! I quickly googled "how to approach a horse" and so announced my presence, avoided looking them in the eye, backed away as soon as any approached - this guy seemed to be the pack leader:
Conclusions - manual 100mm isn't easy with moving targets, FDn 100/2.8 is prone to CA but pretty sharp, and never approach a bunch of wild (probably not, lol) horses without a smart-phone and a clear route to your escape close behind you!

Philippe, I've noticed that you always seem to apply just the right amount of saturation to your images and thought I would mention that. Nice photo.

For me, it was. The hotshoe meant I could easily use wireless triggers, the built in flash means I can use it in emergencies (and pull it back to bounce it) without worrying about carrying the little useless add on flash, and the viewfinder.
Hotshoe: $30 for an adapter from eBay
Builtin flash: $30 (assuming you lose the little add on one with the 5R)
EVF: $250
so ~$300 worth of differences, plus the priceless value of having them built in and using a hotshoe trigger and viewfinder at the same time
If you guys don't mind, it helps me to stay on top of what I want to read if we post images in the images thread (this one) and discussion or questions on NEX equipment in the NEX discussion thread. I thought that was the point of having the two separate threads.

Hey Jeff Kott.....can you some of your shots?
My last posted image is 4 pages back (middle of 479).
With a 4 month old, my photography has been temporarily constrained to baby pictures, which I will post occasionally but not too often so not to impose on others. One of the reasons I love the image threads is to live vicariously by seeing some of the great images you all get to take in other places or during your travels (thank you Boris and Philippe in particular). With the little one, my non-work traveling has been curtailed for the near future.

Nice shot sebboh! how would it look with less exposure on the wall?
less exposed. you can see more details in the graffiti on the wall.
i liked it better with more exposure and more vignetting in b&w. in color i liked it better with a less aggressive contrast curve. the light on the wall was very harsh – you can see from the shadows it's just about sunset and the wall is pretty much facing the sun.
