Jose, I was looking at the lunar eclipse images on Yahoo - they had 47 posted from a number of different locations with varying lens and exposures.
Your image stands so far above all those 47. I taught astronomy for 31 years and as I am sure you are aware, this image is simply superb! It's one of the finest images I have seen of the "copper moon" which is when the eclipsed moon is lit by the longer wavelengths of warmer light after being filtered through the earth's atmosphere.
Good to see you posting again Jose. Amazing how a 13 second exposure of the moon could remain so crisp. Did you use any panning gear? Lovely image BTW.

The telescope he used is motorized. It has me wanting it mildly. (I find 1/10 sec exposures to be about the limit before there's visible motion, so 13 seconds definitely needs some movement.)
when i read about the eclipse..you came to mind...hmm..wanna see what Jose captures. man...you don't disappoint. What a beauty. oh btw..i still hate yew!!
Jose, I saw this at work this morning - being in Perth, Western Australia we missed it. However, your stunning picture was almost as good as seeing it for myself (if not better). Congratulations and many thanks for sharing. My workmates were literally saying "OMG, that's beautiful". You should sell this...
