Well, I am lucky to have bought one before this thread was started

. It is not the M42 mount though and has the problem Tariq mentioned - some oil on aperture blades. Have not got round to using it yet

Davidex, that picture with the cat is aboslutely astonishing. Colours, sharpness, bokeh, I like everything about it.

Does it worth to calibrate the flektogon 35mm 2.4 lens?

I'm looking to buy one of this lens and as far as I've seen some copies are not as sharp as they should.

My question: If I get a bad copy of this lens, would a calibration fix the problem?

I've never calibrated any lens, I'm not sure of what it really means. I will mount it on a canon 5D

This is true - I have various flavours of Flek 35/2.8 and they all foul my 5D's mirror - the 2.4 version however does not.
