Yep, thanks for the reminder, I have to be very mindful of the exchange rate this time around.
Is there any spcific shop in Tokyo that has the widest (or wider) selection of alt lenses? I usually go to Fujiya and Map for the standard stuff, and rarely buy new (I go to the big Yoda in Shinjuku for accessories though).
I have seen a lot of Leica shops in Ginza though; was too scared to ask the prices :-)

As I will be looking for these in Tokyo, availability may not be a problem (though price very well may be, I dont want to spend vast sums on these).
Yen rate is bad 81 yennies to 1 dollar. Will boost some prices some if you aren't getting paid in yen. Run conversions before buying if not a yen salaryman all I can tell you lol.
If looking for new yodabashi 3rd floor will have all the new stuff you want (just got back from a tokyo trip). This mega store real hard to miss....both the hibaya and JR lines drop you at its front door damn near in akihabara. Zeiss, Voigt are in the same display case. Leica an adjoining case. Oly's are a bit down the section. Picked up a voigtlander 40/2 for Nikon to give it a spin from there. So far I am happy. They have all zeiss looked like....just focused on ones I wanted to try tbh.
For zeiss try...but be wary of.... the 35 F2 . This lens usually is the gateway lens to zeiss addiction. Very nice lens and easy to work with. Seems to be more forgiving of misfocus than the longer options anyway.
